Privacy at the Family Table
The short version: this website doesn’t track you. We only keep information if you ask us to send you studio updates, we use it only for that, and you can stop at any time.
Who we are
Cozy Nostra is a small game studio. In this policy “we” means Cozy Nostra, 2080 Willester Ave, San Jose, CA 95124, USA. You can reach us at support@cozy-nostra.com.
This policy covers this website and studio updates. Each of our games has its own privacy policy.
Visiting the website
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like every website, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the service secure. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to load them.
Studio updates
You can ask for news about our games and the studio in two ways. We only collect the information below after you choose one.
Browser notifications
If you turn on notifications, we store a notification token from your browser, a random device ID, your language and time zone (so we don’t notify you at night), and an anonymous account ID. The anonymous account isn’t tied to your name or email.
If you subscribe by email, we store your email address, your language, and when you agreed and to which version of this policy. We send one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else is sent until you confirm.
How we use it
Only to send you studio updates: new games, launches and studio news. We don’t sell or rent your information, don’t use it for advertising, and don’t combine it with your accounts in our games.
How long we keep it
- Email addresses that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
- When you unsubscribe, or if your address bounces or reports spam, we delete your email address. We keep only a one-way scrambled code (a hash) of it, so we never email you again by mistake.
- Notification details are kept until you turn notifications off or your browser’s token stops working.
Who helps us
We use a few service providers who process information only on our instructions:
- Google (Firebase): website hosting, our database, anonymous sign-in and notification delivery.
- Resend: sending update emails.
Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
Your choices and rights
- Every update email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click.
- You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser’s settings.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@cozy-nostra.com.
EU and UK: we rely on your consent for updates, and you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California: we don’t sell or share personal information, and you won’t be treated differently for using your rights.
Children
Studio updates aren’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has subscribed, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we’ll ask again before applying it.
